Where does exhibition end and exhibitionism begin? In what context
is the exposed body acceptable and celebrated? A meditation on the
art of public nudity and an exercise in 3D motion control.
With archival images and spoken words excerpted from 1932 correspondence
between Anaïs Nin and Henry Miller, WET juxtaposes the eroticism of Nin’s text
with the precariousness of New Orleans’ relationship to the water that defines
and sustains it. An experiment in the degradation of digital footage using grain,
dust and scratches, water damage, and film burns applied in post.
